"a dream unexamined is like a
letter unopened..." (Jewish sage)
We all dream. Dreams offer us questions, they are an opportunity to understand and know clearly its symbolic language, they are an invitation to relationship with ones self on a 'soul' level, and they are a gift to value. “The dream can inspire new perspectives on life and call us to live our waking hours in enriched and more vital ways.” (Holligan, 2002).
Join us to learn how to develop and understand your dreams through:
- reflecting on dream symbols
- dialoguing with dream figures
- using music/art to concretize images
- keeping a dream journal

In her book "Goddesses In Older Women", Jean Shinoda Bolen writes of women, who at some
time after turning fifty, cross a threshold into the third phase of their life. It is in this third trimester
that powerful new energies and potentials stir within. The wellspring of these feelings are the
goddess archetypes. Once activated, they are sources of deep spirituality, wisdom, compassion,
action and authenticity.
In this program, co-facilitated by Kay Kilham and Jane Jeffers, participants are invited to creatively
explore, welcome, experience and celebrate these archetypal goddesses:
- Metis, Goddess of Practical and Intellectual Wisdom,
- Sophia, Goddess of Mystical and Spiritual Wisdom,
- Hecate, Goddess of Intuitive and Psychic Wisdom,
- Hestia, Goddess of Meditative Wisdom,
- Sekmet and Kali-Ma, Goddesses of Transformative Wrath,
- Bawdy Baubo and Uzume, Goddesses of Healing Laughter,
- Kuan-Yin and Mary, Goddesses of Compassion.
This workshop will not be running in 2008. 2009 dates and venue will posted on this site later in 2008.

Hero stories are found in all cultures throughout human history. These stories describe
experiences that have been the experience of humanity at all times and in all places.
Women and men go on hero journeys several times over their life-time: journeys of
discovery and development, journeys of transformation, and journeys toward increased
consciousness and awareness.
The hero story, or myth, offers a grid from which to view and understand theses
journeys of growth.
Over this program, participants will consider the role of ‘story’ in identifying personal
patterns of behaviour; explore themes associated with the hero journey; reflect on major
transitions within their own life experience; use the model of the hero journey to write
their own myth; and translate that myth into a ritual.

"We are like the tree standing in the middle of a bushfire
sweeping through the timber.
The leaves are scorched and the tough bark is scarred
and burnt, but inside the tree the sap is still flowing,
and under the ground the roots are still strong.
Like that tree, we have endured the flames and we still
have the power to be re-born." Ungenmarr, M.R. 1988

"If Life is a journey, the choice of roads we take is crucial"
' In his well known book, "The Road less Travelled", M. Scott Peck invites us to travel toward spiritual growth. It charts a new course for many of us searching for ways to deal with the problems of everyday life. Scott Peck says, realistically, that “Life is difficult”and an inner voice says, “He's right. Life is difficult, and there's no dodging its challenges.” For herein lies the road to reality and integrity.' (from Exploring the Road Less Travelled: A study guide.)
Using Scott Peck's book and the study guide, we will be exploring different highways and byways of the road through discussion, education, journalling, art, and music.
